Four answers! Yes some species will cross breed, so a careful choice needs to be made when selecting species to put together. Avoid C. Some of the offspring may very well be fertile. My personal opinion is that any hybrid fry should be destroyed to avoid any chance of them getting into the hobby thus avoiding any chances of them contaminating good stock.

Once the egg sacks are absorbed and the fry are free swimming, start them on New Life Spectrum Fry Food. Your fry should start growing fast once they begin eating.
Once they are large enough, switch the fry over to dried brine shrimp or crushed up flakes. Corydoras are scavengers and do best on a mix of plant and meat based foods. Cory Catfish are a schooling species and should be kept in groups on 5 to 6. All good info! Only differance Ive found is eggs are very prone to fungus using method of transferring eggs to fry tank. I now always use methal blue and tumbler or air stones in breeder. Also, parents left with fry kept eggs clean no methal blue needed and laid around plants where hatched fry stayed until large enough to keep tank mates from consuming.

I agree, Methylene Blue can be a huge help to keep eggs from developing fungus! I used to use that a lot back when I was breeding Angelfish. It does not mean they are infertile. Our family were captivated by their dedication to each other, they were always within touching distance, slept together, Spot our male even petted Steve-e our female with his side fin.

I found out it is an Emerald cory. It is the one listed in the picture above. I got him a friend. I also got 2 dalmation Cories. Did you get an albino or another emerald Cory, we have already told you, multiple times per and over, that you can't support a full school of emerald cories or else your tank will be overstocked. At the end of the day who can provide room for a "Full school" of a few hundreds of corys anyway. Some species of Cory will be fine together but what size is your tank?

I agree with snowman about the sand it's a real pain to keep clean and if you disturb it to much it can clog your filter. I use gravel sand so it's nice for the corries but easier to keep clean looks good too.
I can remember when I used the rounded gravel with my Cory, and not that long ago really! I had to argue go figure my point about it. Now, everyone is doing it, and not because of me! Because people realized a Cory can bury a dead tetra just as easily in a pile of gravel as they can in sand! I was just on a post here and the OP told me that story about the Tetra. Saving him for the holidays perhaps??? Black Cory's are cheaper on AquaBid, but still one of the more expensive kinds. I was probably crazy to buy three of these.
That is such a beautiful looking fish!! The most expensive fish I've bought, besides my betta, is my zebra otocinclus. They are my favorite fish, then the corydoras. I love their personalities and looks.
